8m Shot Progression
The Fast Break Pressure Drill for Girls' Lacrosse focuses on enhancing goalkeeper clears and defensive breakout strategies under offensive pressure. It starts with a goalkeeper save and a clear to defenders, transitioning into a 4v3 fast break if the ball reaches attackers at the 50-yard line, testing both defensive clearing skills and offensive pressure tactics.

Receive the pass for a quick shot inside the 8 meter
This is a great drill to emphasize timing the feeds, getting open in the 8m with pressure on, defending inside the 8m, dodging, faking and shooting.
Dropping Into the 8 Meter
This drill trains players in quick stick passing and rapid transitions from attack to defense, using a dynamic 5v4 setup where players must sprint into the 8 meter area, focusing on strategic positioning and defensive coverage. Key coaching points include maintaining awareness by keeping sticks and heads up while dropping into the defensive end at an angle and effectively marking the most threatening opponent when outnumbered.
