Triangle Passing Drill

Objective:
The Triangle Passing Drill is a great warm-up exercise for improving stickwork and passing accuracy. It is suitable for girls of all levels, as it helps improve coordination and passing speed while focusing on movement and communication.

Exercise Description:
The drill is performed by forming a triangle with three girls. Each girl positions herself at a vertex of the triangle, maintaining a comfortable yet challenging distance from each other. The goal is to pass the ball continuously between the three girls while staying in motion and focusing on the precision of the passes.

Instructions:

  1. Starting Position: Three girls form an equidistant triangle.

  2. Pass and Move: One girl passes the ball to the girl directly in front of her and then runs to take the position of the girl who just received the pass, maintaining proper spacing.

  3. Constant Rotation: The girls should move quickly and rotate positions after every pass, ensuring the ball stays in motion with no pauses.

  4. Variations: As the girls improve, variations can be added, such as making the passes faster, changing the direction of passes, or even using a second ball to make the drill more challenging.

Benefits:

  • Enhances passing accuracy and the ability to read the game.

  • Develops off-ball movement skills.

  • Encourages teamwork and constant communication between the girls.

  • Increases agility and coordination in passing situations.

Tips:

  • Focus on making accurate passes, especially when doing long or difficult passes.

  • Practice maintaining a good passing angle to avoid lost passes or uncomfortable catches.

  • If the girls' skills are more advanced, try adding a second ball to the drill to increase difficulty.

This drill is versatile and can be adapted to the skill level of the girls. By adding variations, it remains challenging and helps them continually improve their stickwork and passing accuracy while staying in motion.
