Follow Curl Crease Pick

Setup:

  • Two players start behind the goal (X).

  • Three midfielders up top rotate in a triangle formation.

Execution:

  1. Initiation:

    • The trailing player (Ball Carrier) starts with possession and runs toward X.

    • Once at X, they stop, curl back, and prepare to feed.

  2. Off-Ball Movement:

    • The leading player from behind the goal loops around the goal, cutting toward the crease.

    • A crease player sets a pick for the cutter to curl around.

    • The cutter receives a feed from the ball carrier and takes a quick shot.

  3. Middie Rotation & Options:

    • The three midfielders up top rotate in a triangle formation, creating secondary options.

    • If the initial pass isn't open, the ball carrier can hit an outside shooter or reset the play.

Improvements:

Tighter Timing: The cutter should delay their run slightly to maximize separation off the pick.
Additional Read: The ball carrier can fake the pass inside and feed an outside shooter if the defense collapses.
Crease Roll Option: If the pick defender switches, the crease player can slip to the backside.
Backdoor Cut: If the defense overplays, the off-ball midfielder can cut backdoor for a high-percentage look.

This play keeps the defense shifting, creates multiple scoring threats, and ensures fluid ball movement.
